Everything starts with a Manual J load calculation that determines exactly how much cooling power your home needs based on square footage, insulation, window orientation, and local climate data. We then inspect existing ductwork, because leaky or undersized ducts will strangle a high-efficiency unit and cause early failure. You choose the equipment from there — single-stage, two-stage, or variable-speed — with variable-speed units particularly effective here because longer, lower-speed run times pull far more humidity out of the air.

The installation follows a strict sequence: floor protection and safety shutdown, recovery of the existing refrigerant into approved cylinders, removal of the old condenser and evaporator coil, installation of the new coil with a properly pitched drain pan and a safety float switch, a new level pad and correctly positioned condenser outdoors, and copper linesets brazed under nitrogen purge to prevent oxidation inside the pipes.

Before the system runs, it is pressurised with nitrogen to confirm a leak-free seal and then vacuumed below 500 microns to remove every trace of moisture. At start-up we fine-tune subcooling and superheat for the day's conditions, programme the thermostat, and test every mode of operation. Permits, inspections, and safe disposal of the old equipment are handled entirely by us.
